Near the city of Tarragona, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, we find a cozy family residence inhabited by a kind and warm couple and their three daughters.

This project is designed to strengthen family bonds and promote co-living. The intervention merges two previously independent houses into a cohesive common space. It combines shared areas with private corners, allowing each family member to enjoy their own personal space.

This project transcends the concept of merely “building a house” to shape a true home, where a profound bond is established between its inhabitants and the environment. It is a unique place where the family has not only found its enclave but has also woven a sense of community.

The home combines open and welcoming living areas, designed to share experiences, with individual spaces that offer each member their privacy. The design fosters a fluid connection between the inhabitants and the environment, creating a sense of natural harmony. An emotional bond that emerges transforms the house into a sanctuary, a place where shared family memories are cultivated.

Family life is the heart of this home. The thought process behind the proposal centers on treasuring and enriching everyday moments, offering a space where they can unfold and be fully expressed.

The ground floor, which includes the living, dining, and kitchen areas, is designed for togetherness, sharing, and creating lasting memories.

This same level also houses the master bedroom for the couple, a secluded retreat set apart from the rest of the space that offers privacy and tranquility.

The upper floor is dedicated to the personal spaces of the three daughters, respecting each one's necessities and privacy. Here, three spacious exterior rooms, each with a distinct character, reflect their unique personalities.

The balance between communal and private creates a harmonious family environment where each member can feel genuinely at home. The house becomes a familiar setting, inviting all its inhabitants to live and experience it fully.

This sense of continuity allows the space to adapt and evolve with its inhabitants, becoming a living home that captures their experiences and accompanies them through the various stages of life.
