The Padrosa family entrusted us with the challenge of contributing to renovating the first Telefèric restaurant, which opened in 1992 in the city of Sant Cugat.

Over the years, this group has worked with rigour and tenacity to consolidate a solid gastronomic concept—one that has transcended borders, reaching the United States and creating a distinctive and recognisable identity.
We embraced this challenge with enthusiasm and a deep sense of responsibility.

Legacy

Pinchos and tapas arrived in Sant Cugat thanks to the Padrosa family. The couple, and now their children, introduced the local community to a new way of enjoying small portions designed to be savoured in a single bite.

The space that housed this concept was articulated around a large central bar, which functioned as the heart of the restaurant—bringing diners together and allowing them to appreciate every detail of their dining experience closely.

Our spatial design proposal aims to honor the place's legacy while keeping certain iconic features, such as the bar's location as the central axis. This gesture not only reinforces the link to the establishment's history but also shelters customers in an environment that evokes the past with respect while adapting to the needs of the present.

Geometry

The central placement of the bar, alongside the wine cooler, ensures an efficient and harmonious organisation of the space, making it the backbone of the restaurant. More than just a focal point, it serves as a gathering spot and centre of interaction for the diners, integrating perfectly into the restaurant's operational flow.

Individual tables are arranged around the bar, grouped according to service needs. With its enveloping shape, the vaulted ceiling embraces the space, accentuating its height and creating an expansive and welcoming atmosphere. This geometry defines differentiated areas, inviting relaxation and immersion in the restaurant’s gastronomic proposal.

A striking detail is the old model of the Telefèric, which crosses the main façade—a gesture that connects our gaze to the entrance and the large window. The intentional design of this feature echoes the classic cabins of the original Telefèric, evoking a nostalgic link with the past.
